Planning a wedding is daunting. I've been there. With so many tiny details, it can be tricky to know where to even begin. As a wedding photographer, there are certain details of wedding planning that impact the look of your portraits more than others. Having gorgeous bouquets and table decorations is critical in ensuring your wedding portraits are everything you imagined.
Kayla Wright, owner of Khloe Grace Floral, and I share a mutual passion for weddings and helping brides create a day they will remember joyously for years to come. As a wedding planner and florist, she shares with us her top tips for making sure your wedding day is absolute perfection.
About Khloe Grace Floral
Like many entrepreneurs, Kayla started out designing flower arrangements as a hobby. Her workload was growing so quickly, that she decided to officially launch her business in June 2018. Kayla says, "I am an entirely self taught florist, which helps me stand out from the rest. It has allowed me to come up with my own "rules" and design aesthetic."
Brides - Don't Miss This Piece of Advice!
"Don't forget why you are doing this. So many times, I see brides get so lost in all of their planning for the big day, that they forget the reason FOR the big day. You don't have to do all of the things by yourself. Ask for help, include your other half in the planning, and just enjoy it." - Kayla Wright

Planning Your Colors
Most of Kayla's wedding clients are right on trend with neutral tones and greenery for their bouquets and arrangements. Kayla encourages her brides to not be afraid to step out of that box though! She loves when brides throw in some bold pops of color. Kayla chose to feature some rich, bold colors in this post to show how beautiful those pops of color are.
Quit Waiting. Hire Your Florist!
If you are a bride, don't put off hiring someone to create gorgeous bouquets. As a wedding photographer, I see a lot of fake flowers. I actually used fake flowers at my own wedding (I'm SORRY, Kayla!) BUT, given a do-over, investing in beautiful, live flowers is one of the things I would change. It will show in your portraits. I promise when you see your portraits, you will be so glad you chose to hire a professional to design your bouquet. Plus, there is nothing like the aroma of freshly cut flowers on your wedding day.
I work with a lot of wedding vendors, and I recommend Khloe Grace Floral to my brides. Kayla cares about you, knows what she's doing, and not only is her work breathtaking, but she's the sweetest person you'll meet. She says, "My absolute favorite thing about what I do is seeing everything come together on the wedding day. Weddings are such a huge part of the couples lives, and we spend so much time together planning, it is just an amazing feeling to see our work completed."
