I thought we were going to be done with snow for the year, and then March surprised us with a gorgeous, snowy morning! I had the pleasure of photographing these two when they were dating, and Jake knew that he was about to propose, but Mara had no clue!

This session was all about celebrating the start of the rest of their lives together. Jake proposed with his great-grandmother's wedding ring, which you can see featured below. We had to work really quickly because the snow was more like a light rain. It was coming down so fast and it was a very wet snow! I've never had a session in so much falling snow before, and I absolutely love the way it turned out.

They made such a smart choice with their outfits. Casual jeans, and I love Mara's off white sweater. Her pop of lipstick was also an excellent choice. The color brings attention right to their faces and creates a focal point in every portrait!

I have so much love for these two and I am so thankful to capture their love story. Next, I will be putting together a gorgeous album for them to have at their wedding for their guests to sign! ❤️This will be a keepsake they will cherish for the rest of their lives and pass down to their kids and grandkids. Every couple deserves to have this special, fleeting time captured like this.
